Hardox in my Body!
Steven Hough, Regional Sales Manager with SSAB, presents James Stewart with the ‘Hardox in my Body’ accreditation certificate.
Stewart Trailers have been approved as a licensed manufacturer using Hardox® in our products.
This means that we can display the ‘Hardox in my Body’ signs on our trailers constructed from the wear plate. The decals displayed on the trailers guarantee that the body is constructed from genuine Hardox; every set of decals has a unique serial number for quality assurance and traceability.
Hardox is a wear plate; structures made of Hardox weigh less and last longer than those made from mild steel. We have manufactured several trailers using the product, the latest model being our new Pro Series PS 24 31 H trailer launched recently at LAMMA Show. A tipper body made from Hardox is more durable due to the unique combination of hardness and toughness. Using Hardox allows for a body design with a minimum number of reinforcing beams on the outside.
Stewart Trailers’ manufacturing process and quality control were inspected by representatives from SSAB and found to comply with technical and quality standards. We are delighted to receive our certificate, acceptance in this scheme recognises the effort that we put into producing our trailers and our high quality standards. According to the Hardox literature ‘becoming a licensed manufacturer is only for the best in the business’ and members of the scheme are re-evaluated annually to ensure that the highest of standards are maintained. Stewarts are the first agricultural trailer manufacturer on mainland UK to be accredited to the scheme.
