Tipping Trailers

We manufacture tipping trailers from 10 tonne to 18 tonne capacity. We have a standard range of trailers and from this base we provide a wide variety of options and are therefore able to meet most customer requirements. Every Stewart trailer is designed and built to order. All of our trailers are fabricated to a very high quality standard and we pay great attention to detail in our designs.

We specialise in trailers for use with high speed tractors; these trailers are fitted with an air braking system and ABS. Stewart fast-tow trailers may be registered with the Department of Transport and MOT tested.

  • The loading height of all trailers has been kept as low as possible by making the top chassis fit inside the bottom chassis.
  • Trailers of 10 tonnes capacity and over have a box section chassis design giving greater strength and stability.
  • The steel extrusions are shotblasted and primed prior to fabrication to remove mill scale and ensure a good surface for paint adhesion.
  • Our trailer bodies hold the weight of barley for the trailer design capacity.
  • Axles are used well within their design capacity, not on the limit e.g. 80mm axles are fitted to our 10 tonne capacity trailers but are commonly used on other manufacturers 12 tonne capacity trailers
  • Four spring suspension is standard.
  • Trailers of 10 tonnes capacity and over have a sprung drawbar.
  • The hinge pin is the full width of the chassis and is fitted with grease points at the bushes.
  • The body frame is fabricated from box section for strength and fully welded to prevent dirt and water accumulation.
  • Commercial road lighting system: The trailers are fitted with Rubbolite® lights and the wiring is connected at waterproof junction boxes.
  • Trailers are fitted with LED front and side marker lights.
  • There is a stalk fitted at the front of the trailer to keep electric and braking cables tidy and away from the drawbar and dirt.
  • The electric connection to the tractor is a removable electric coil.
  • Trailers are finished with 120 microns of paint, applied with an electrostatic system to ensure complete coverage. The top coat is a hard wearing polyurethane high gloss paint.
  • Trailers are fitted with a ratchet style park brake, inspection ladder, rope hooks, mud wings and spray suppression flaps as standard.
