Livestock Floats

We manufacture livestock floats for tractor trailers and for commercial vehicles. All of our floats are fabricated entirely in aluminium (with the exception of some steel parts to prevent wear and tear) giving a strong but lightweight, durable construction. We build floats from 16ft (4875mm) in length up to 13.9m four deck sheep/two deck cattle transporters.

The tractor drawn and commercial vehicle floats are different designs. The tractor drawn float is a fully welded container; the pressed side sheets are welded to box section posts at 1150mm intervals, and the floor is welded all round. The tractor drawn floats can be supplied with standard section sheep decks and movable dividing doors or with folding decks, fixed position slam shut dividing doors and a hydraulically operated run up ramp, exactly the same as we fit in our commercial livestock floats.

The commercial vehicle floats are available in two different designs; plank sided construction or plain side sheets riveted on to channel posts at 600mm intervals along the side. Commercial vehicle floats can be supplied with a variety of optional extras; they are all manufactured to order to the customer's specification.
